I live and work in the hills north of Berkeley, and AT&T's 3G Coverage Map says that I should get mostly 3G coverage:
However, so far I'm only getting Edge service in all the areas marked on the voice coverage chart as "Best" or "Good".
Using the iNetworkTest I am only getting a data rate of 67.4 kbps, about what I was getting before.
I had high hopes that we'd have better coverage in Berkeley -- we are in a metropolitan area, I can see San Francisco across the bay, and there is a very high tech population here. What is up AT&T?
Chris, if you click the box for "Show 3G coverage" at the bottom of the map you should get an equally inaccurate map of where there is a 3G signal in your area. My area shows 100% 3G coverage but the phone doesn't find any.

Thanks Neil, I corrected the chart. Still says I should be getting 3G data.

I'm 3 miles outside verizon coverage and get an average of 200 using card but average of 5-600 with an antenna. Have gotten 1100 on a clear/low humidity day. They are very modest with their claims
